This is my DJ set from Friday night at Durrrty’s 1st Birthday party at the twisted peppper.
I recorded a live session for Dan Hegarty’s RTE 2FM show in December of last year. The session tracks were broadcast on Monday just gone but you can listen to the recordings here:
Here’s video of me recording the set I did for www.ungradio.com on Thursday night.
Been a bit lazy updating my tumblr page. Put a tune out about a month ago and this is the video for it done by my cousin Cormac Murphy and his friend Evan Buggle.
Coming through Dublin airport the other day I saw this message over the luggage belt. Is it me or shouldn’t this read “Drive on THE left”? Is this some sort of pigeon English being employed to relate to tourists whose first language isn’t English or is it just a bit shit?
When I moved over from London to Dublin one of the things that struck me was how easy it was to get a cab. When I was in England you had to actually book a cab not just stroll outside and hail one. That however is the one sole advantage of the ridiculous deregulation of Dublin cabs. One of the many things that annoys me about Dublin cabs is how variable the quality (and cleanliness) of the cab you get in is one such extreme example I encountered the other day was a cab that was using cling film instead of glass. I mean FFS surely we can do a bit better than this?
I work in an office in quite a central part of Dublin. Its quite a busy place so you can understand my amazement (and need to photograph it) when a woman strolled by the other day pulled her kecks down and had a piss in plain view of many many people.
I used to think that women were the fairer sex, I’m not so sure now.
Cathal Funge was kind enough to play “Sand Hands” on his I-con show here in Dublin on Wednesday night - thank you very much!!!!
I put “Sand Hands” up on the “Fresh on the Net” Blog last week - everybody votes and then the top 5 are in with a chance of getting on a BBC mixtape or on the “Introducing” show. You will see from the list that I didn’t make it but at the end there is a group of honourable mentions of which I am one. Apparently it was an exceptionally strong week bit gutted but also surprised as I wasn’t sure that my style would wash as I incorrectly thought it was more of a band flavour on the blog so it gives me hope going forward.
Well done to all those that made it particularly ”We Cut Corners” who are from Dublin.

Last week one of my own tunes was on this show this week none of mine are but the show is still awesome! As ever there’s a really well researched set of tunes in there - you can also download from the soundcloud page above so you can consume the broadcast as and when you wish.
